Hello
Depending on what time you are reading this you may have missed the 8 am
Boad meeting. But you still have time to make the lunch. We are welcoming
the recipients of the Pancake Breakfast College Scholarships. Hopefully, all
eight will be able to attend, this Tuesday, June 10th
Now, for a quick re-cap. On May 27 our guest speaker was the Rev. Dr.
Jim Wideman of the N.E. Baptist Convention. Of interest is that he has been
a member of two Rotary Clubs in the past during his Ministries.
He presented a background picture of Luther Rice...yes, Rice Memorial
Baptist Church on Lincoln Street.
Up-date on the Fire Fund on this date was $14,000.
Restaurant week will be next with those participating donating $ from sales of
one of their menu items.
Installation dinner will be $22 per. That’s the 18th, remember ?
For information on Club make-ups times and places check the District web site
Tuesday, June 3 our guests, Ted and Carolyn Iverstine from Jackson, Alabama
were fortunate to hear Addison Redfield share highlights of Rotary for the benefit
of two of our RYLA young people prior to their leadership training week-end.
It is the 20-21-22 at Worcester State College and Ed and Barbara will welcome
all of you has helpers. Talk to them about it.
Jim Brady has a meeting in place at ARHS for the development of INTERACT.
Looking forward to his report.
Installation on the 18th at Juniper Hill - 6 pm - $22.
NO LUNCHEON MEETING ON THE 17.
Rev. Dr. Jim Wideman, mentioned above, has expressed interest in joining our
Club after having been out for a few years. This will go forward in seven days
hearing no objections.
Stay cool. Be cool. Keep your cool. Cool down.
