America, the beautiful.....”
Still trying ...thanks to many boys and men and women
in the service  of our country.
Still coming home...some remembering
some being remembered.
another Memorial Day !
Be very humble !

Our last lunch we did some remembering as we walked down Main Street in
Northboro...Rte. 20.   Used to be a cow path !  In 1898 there was a train to
Boston at any hour.  What happened ?   Sure could be a boon today !  Thanks
to Pat Doyle for sharing her Master’s thesis from Clark Univ.from the olden days !
Memories  and history never go out of style.

On the 27th (tomorrow) our speaker will be Dr. Jim Wideman.  He is the Exec.
Director of the Baptist Convention of N. E.

June 3rd -  3 RYLA young people will be our guests and Addison will share some of
his reasons for being in Rotary...and what we try to exemplify in our lives.

June 10th -  Scholarship Luncheon.  If they all come, there will be 8 recipients.
Well, there will be 8 recipients anyway, I suppose.!

June 17 -  THERE IS NO MEETING !
because the Installation of our new President, Adam Winter, will be JUNE 18
at Juniper Brook Golf Club at 6 pm.  Got that ?

NOW...GET OUR YOUR CALENDARS  for more.
RYLA week-end is June 20-21-22 at Worcester State College...any span of time
you can volunteer will be welcome. Taking phone calls,  observing the games, etc.
Check with the Doyles and/or the Kings for more info.  This is a leadership training
series of challenges, events and socializing with kids from all around.  It’s super !
June 24th is the Senior Picnic at Marlboro Fish and Game.  Charcoal pit...chicken,
watermelon, lemonade, salad and all that good stuff.    The charcoal-ers go directly
from our lunch to the site to start the fires.   Others follow to set up tables and
serve the food, I believe at 5 pm.

APPLEFEST -  September 20.  Parade walkers;  pizza servers; hotdog hooray;
I’m not sure about raffles?  Anyway there is something for all of us...It’s fun.
Saturday, October 25th...we will be hearing more about “How may I Serve You?”
Put your thinking caps on...what can you do/have that people would bid on...have
to have!  Your car?  Your wife?  Your condo in Hawaii ?

COMMUNITY SPELLING BEE...NOVEMBER 14TH...Teams are already
working on their costumes.   This event has taken on a life of its own.  Still will
be at Proctor.  We are addding kids this year...not all of them...just those that
last in the Elem Schools 4 and 5 grades...we will have the finalists.  Cool !
Addison is already on top of whipping the PANCAKE BREAKFAST into shape.
The date will be either March 15th OR 22nd depending on music and other events.
Jim Brady is working magic and going forward with approval and people and kids
for an INTERACT Club at ARHS.   Bravo, Jim...keep us posted.

The members of the club shot down the Kelly Miller Tent Circus.
In the mail was a thank you note from Kathy Rohrs with a flag from the Sabie
Rotary club in Africa.

Habitat thanks us for our donation.

Hope I get this right, George.   Make-up places and times for your info.
Wednesday - Westboro -  The Chateau -  lunch

Confucious say :

in your life.
